Buying Seeds
Buying seeds is the second most important thing when it comes to garden layouts and soil preparation.
Without good vegetable seeds, we will not have good plants. There are many seed companies out there.
Jan 2009:
This year I bought my seeds at a local hardware store. I usually do not do this, but the spirit came upon me and I bought the vegetable seeds and started planting.
They did not do as well as I had hoped. And of course Wal-Mart your local store does not guarantee their product like a seed catalog company would.
Try not to use any seeds leftover from last year. They may not germinate as well as we would like to see them, but try them since you have them. Just beware they may not be as good as new fresh seeds.
In Wal-Mart they have an off-brand seed for twenty cents a pack. Stay away from these. If they are only twenty cents then you may just be throwing away your money. They are probably last year's leftovers.
My problem is always trying to figure out which ones to get. I always get too many.
Vegetable Gardening Made Easier has hooked up with a company that has given us a good deal on seeds and other garden supplies and equipment.
Thank you for visiting Vegetable Gardening Made Easier.
